Welcome to the Intelligent Systems and Structural Dynamics Laboratory! Here, our main interests are to develop innovative cyber-physcal systems for improving disaster resilience and energy efficiency of structures. These systems will be developed based on the understanding of smart damping and sensing devices, combined with the implementation of intelligent algorithms and control strategies. The behavior and quality of the developed systems will be assessed using advanced experimental platforms, such as shake table testing and real-time hybrid testing.

Highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students with solid background in structural engineering are encouraged to apply for the openings in the lab. Students with multidisciplinary backgrounds in control design and Mechatronics development are also welcome to apply.
